Commander's Comments:

I want to thank every member who has already renewed their membership. If you have not renewed yet, I ask that you please do so prior to December 31st.
There are two reasons for this. One is that if you have not paid before 31 Dec. you lose your status as a member in good standing. Number 2 is the post will receive special recognition for being 100% by dec. 31st. This is an honor bestowed upon the membership, not the leadership.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Labor Day BBQ. I want to thank all the members and the ladies auxiliary who participated in the preparations. The holidays are upon us, so I hope everyone has a happy holiday season.

Please be safe during the holidays and enjoy being with family and friends.

We are two months into the new administrative year and off to a great start. The officers have recently attended a two-day leadership training program and returned with an enthusiastic attitude about the current year. Membership is off to a good start with several new membership applications and new strategies for enlarging our post membership. A new membership committee is now formed to implement some of these ideas and your participation and input are welcome. As a reminder for continuous members, it is that time of year again, please forward your yearly membership dues as soon as possible. You might want to consider a life membership; (A substantial increase may be in the making for the near future) which can be paid in installments. Ask any officer for an application. This promises to be a very successful year and we need the help of all members to make it great.

From the Junior Vice Commander

Since this is the last newsletter of the year, I hope you will have a safe and happy holiday season. I would like to thank the members who turned out for the
parade on November 8th.

Chaplain's Corner

This past Quarter we lost our surviving World War I veteran, Mr. Robert McClure,
who passed away at 103 years of age. The Chaplain and members of the Ladies
Auxiliary visited him quite often. Here are the names of our veterans residing at
Quinton Memorial: Fletcher Richards, Jesse Fraizer, William Brock, Ben Stephenson,
John Johnson, and Carmin Cartabainca. If any member has the opportunity to visit
these veterans it will be greatly appreciated by all.
